"Chromatic aberration!!" on
Pros: LCOS, great technology, and almost a great product! Beautiful picture, brightest available, HD is AWESOME.
Cons: I've been through 3 in 2 weeks: the product suffers from "chromatic aberration" which can't be adjusted. High contrast images outlined by one-pixel-wide green/magenta halos!!! JVC supposedly fixed in August, but my 3 12/04 builds all had it! Stay Away,

"Decent TV but not Great" on by Tom1222
Pros: Excellent HDTV picture, Nice DVD output with HDMI connection
Cons: Less than average SDTV picture quality, long start up time
Summary: I went back and forth between my decission to buy the JVC 61 inch D-ILA or the Sony Grand Wega 55 inch LCD TV. Both of them looked Great in HDTV mode at the store.
The JVC became on sale for over 800 less than the Sony so I decided on the JVC.
Big disappointment once I had it up and running. The Non HDTV or SDTV via Direct TV was plaqued with major artifacting and chromatic abirations. I adjusted the set several different ways but you can't get rid of the artifacts in normal mode. In HDTV the picture looks GREAT. No artifacting or blurriness of any sort. Crips and sharp images every time in HDTV mode and great DVD picture as well. But sadly most transmissions are still in SDTV and I can't settle for a part time Pleasant picture and a most of the time lousy picture. I am returning the JVC for the Sony and hope it's better than the JVC in SDTV mode. -
"23 Months of deciding & I'm excited" on
Pros: I have shopped/reviewed tv's for the past 23 months and finally bought this one. It is the most unbelievable picture out there in LCD projection, almost better than plasma's twice the price. Sports will never be the same in my eyes after owning this tv.
Cons: Only one digital input (HDMI) compared to Samsung's DLP which has 2 (DVI & HDMI), which requires you to spend ~$140 for HDMI-to-DVI cord for your DVD since you can't find HDMI DVD players yet. In combo with your cable/sat, this reqires you to use com

"Do you guys know what you're talking about?" on
Pros: I've downloaded the user manual from the JVC web site. Page 24 describes the automatic setup of the tuner - but someone said there was no tuner??? On page 20 it talks about the HDMI interface but someone said this clearly states the input is limited to 48

"Awesome so Far" on
Pros: Only just got it, but the picture is great - bright and clear with natural colors. Looks great both on and off.
Cons: One HDMI port - no firewire connection (especially at port 4 on the side)
