This is a kick a** professional grade killer LCOS Tv. The max resoltn of 1080x1920 (which is the highest that today's braodcasting industry is capable of) is awesome and the fact that it can even do a pure 1080p gives it a cutting edge advantage. You can hook this puppy up with your top of the line 1080p video card with an HDMI cable and enjoy the ultra bright and crisp picture. I have this TV placed approx 22 ft from my couch and we just can't stand the DYNAMIC (i.e ultra bright) mode for more than a few minutes. It starts hurting the eyes. Secondly it comes pre-calibrated and its D-65 filter produces the actual image at 9200K (supposed to be standard for crisp image prodn in actual daylight). Check out its reviews at http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=618408 . You might not find this TV available in most of the retail places 'coz it's a PRO unit. You can either buy it ONLINE OR visit a JVC pro dealer. I'm one of the first owners of this model and it's been approx an yr now that I've had it. Haven't faced any problems so far with it. On an average we view the TV approx 5 hrs a day.

I've had the JVC for about 7 month's and the picture looks the same as it did the day I took it home! If you can afford the JVC than buy it!!

"A great TV!"

5 stars  | on by jtphillips

Pros

Inexpensive (for me $1800 on TigerDirect.com) for a 61" DLP 1080p TV

Cons

None so far, expect for a slightly annoying interface

Summary

This is a great TV for someone who wants a big screen but doesn't want to pay upwards of $5,000 for a plasma of comparable size.
