"Worked great until failed Blinking Green Lite of death"
Pros: great picture
Cons: TV was built in March 2006; we watched maybe 3-4 hours per week. Had it < 3 years, it stopped coming on; the blinking green light of death. Would cost $400 - $700 to repair based on estimates. Experts said it was due to deficient materials used.
Summary: Am writing to Mitsu:
We owned a Mitsubishi DLP TV, WD-52825, built in March 2006. We don?t watch much TV, perhaps 3-4 hours per week. We had this TV for less than 3 years. About 5 months ago, it stopped coming on. We saw what is called on the web the ?blinking green light of death?. After many hours of research we found that it likely had a bad DM board.
Most estimates put repair at between $400 and $700. It took no time at all for estimates to be given as most repair folks have seen lots of this model of TV have this issue. They all said it was due to deficient materials used in construction and poor design.
We are most dissatisfied with this product and have gotten rid of the TV.
