Pros: Great big picture, super with 3d & good sound

Cons: Be ready to replace the lamp every 3-4 months. But they are easy to replace. The TV raises the room temp by 3-5 degrees due to the heat the lamp puts off, so be ready for that in the summer. It's like a heater in the winter. Guess that needs to go under t

Summary: If you don't mind spending $300.00-$400.00 a year on lamp replacements, then it's a great TV. Keep it away from the walls due to the heat it generates...plus you'll need room to get behind it to change out the lamps (3 Phillip head screws). Be real careful when changing the lamps. They explode-pop like a gun going off...and they contain Mercury. So, wear gloves when you change out lamps & put down newspaper on the floor under lamp door to catch the broken glass & to keep the mercury off the floor. Especially if you have kids & pets!

If you choose this TV, go ahead and order 2-3 replacement lamps from Mitsubishi right off the bat...you will need them. If you have one on hand, you'll be watching TV again in 10-15 minutes. The lamps are expensive at $99.00 each, but they are a breeze to replace. I just ordered 3 more today. Mitsubishi only comment when I ask if there was a fix for the lamp problem was "you must watch a lot of TV if the lamps last just 3-4 months"! Wonder what they consider "a lot of TV watching" is?
