"The best bang for the buck"
Pros: Excellent image, easy to hookup and control, 1080p makes it all worth it.
Cons: It's a bit pricey, but not the most expensive. It's so big that standard (non-HDTV) images get distorted (artifacts).
Summary: We shopped around for almost a year, and finally decided to go with this one. The 6-color wheel makes for a much more intense and life-like image than previous models. Despite it's size, the unit is very light, and it only took my wife and I a few minutes to get it out of the box, onto the stand, and hooked up.
Standard TV looks ok, but there are quite a few digital artifacts (distortion) because the screen is so big. But when displaying a 1080p image, you realize why you payed so much for a TV. You see so many things in such crystal-clear detail that it makes you want to watch old movies again to see what you missed. I mean, the image is so perfect you can count individual facial hairs, read labels, etc.
We are concerned about the bulb life, since the replacement bulb costs $150-$200. We've heard that the light should last about 2000 hours, so it hopefully won't be an issue for a year or more...
