"ABSOLUTLEY SHARP HDTV IMAGES!!" on by TNANCE
Pros: Sharp pictures Easy to hook up.
Cons: Speakers a little weak.
Summary: After shopping for over two months on various television technologies (LCD, Plasma, DLP, etc,) brands, and models, I finally came to the Mits WD-65732.
I went into many different electronics stores to see different TV sets in different environments, and the one that jumped out every time was the Mitsubishi. It actually looked like all the other sets were tuned down and flat. After I visited eight different stores, I knew that this wasn't the common sales technique of down tuning other sets to sell one particular model.(I also asked every sales person what set in the store would they buy, and 6 out of eight said this model if they had the money) I was sold.
Now you might say how does it look at home? Hooked up to a high definition source, it looks like the poeple are coming out of the set. Incredible.
On the Con side, the speakes a little weak, however, I have mine connected to my Surrond sound system and just turned the TV's speakers off anyways. Not a Con to me, but it might be to you.
Definitly a solid buy. -
"Broken twice in 3 months" on by thrillhouse210
Pros: Crystal clear HDTV picture, many connections, easy menu guide
Cons: Not dependable.
Summary: I bought this television 3 months ago and since then it has broke twice. Both times it was the ballast on the television, which made the TV go completely dark, with only audio, and occasional humming noise. When the television is working, the picture looks absolutely stunning. I have no problems with the quality of the picture of this television, it just really bugs me that I spent thousands of dollars on a television that was highly recommended, and I have had to get this thing fixed twice. Both times took a minimum of 2 weeks to get fixed. I'll cross my fingers for the future, I suggest you buy an extended service policy, I'm glad I did. Other than the dependability factor, this television is far above average in every way. When it works of course.

"This TV is awesome." on by jkwatkins
Pros: Easy Setup out of the box, Split Screen, Numerous Connections
Cons: Remote has slide switch for changing devices. Significant LAG when playing games. Tested with PS2.
Summary: I love this television. I bought another major branded 60" LCD and took it back a week later and bought this 65." WOW! The HDTV broadcasts comes alive in your room. Be careful though, you can't expect to get much detail from a 480i broadcast on a 1080P HDTV. The picture is a bit grainy. There are only 480 lines of detail on a set designed for 1080. The images are stretched too much to get the very fine detail.

"Good HDTV for size and price" on by tha1lowtek
Pros: Brilliant colors, very sharp image for it's size
Cons: Poor black levels, not good for fast images on screen
Summary: I bought this TV because my original intent was to get a really huge HDTV. It seemed DLP was the way to go as far as big HDTV's were concerned, especially because of the price.
After owning the TV for more than 2 years now, I can say I wish I knew a little more about TV's then as I do now. Bigger is not necessarily better. Sure, this TV is great for video games and adds a certain "big theater" quality when watching movies, but overall I wish I had gone with say, a 46" LCD.
Movies with a lot of fast action on screen are hard to follow. You have to move your couch really, REALLY far back for best viewing angle. It's great for having people over, but as far as just casually watching movies, I actually prefer to just watch them on my smaller SDTV!
Black levels look somewhat poor, also. This could possibly be a problem because the TV is a rear projection, I'm not sure.
Overall, I'm just more impressed now with smaller LCD HDTVs. Especially those with 120hz. The image is overall sharper and crisp, the black levels are deeper, and fast motion in videos is easier to take in when it's in a nice medium sized screen. -
"Nightmare!" on by swhiteaz
Pros: great picture when it works
Cons: lamp replacement required
Summary: Mitsubishi is a nightmare to deal with. 5 lamp replacement just to find out the tv has the "silent" recall any tv with the last vin digits of 1 or 2 power supply is bad needs replacement. Lamps will burn out in months if not weeks.
