CNET Editors' Take

CNET did not review the Mitsubishi WD-73734, but we did review a smaller model in the series.

Review: Although CNET did not review the 73-inch Mitsubishi WD-73734, we did review the 65-inch Mitsubishi WD-65734. Judging from their spec sheets, the two Mitsubishi rear-projection DLP-based HDTVs are identical but for screen size, so we expect the picture quality of the 65-inch model to provide a good indication of how the 73-incher will perform. For more information, check out the full review of the Mitsubishi WD-65734. For details on Mitsubishi's other lines of 2007 DLP HDTVs, check out our additional coverage.

"Great picture but other issues" By mattbo01

Pros: Large picture. Great when viewed in HD. We love the picture when there aren't issues.

Cons: Bulbs seem to go out fairly quickly or at least need to be changed to keep a good quality picture. Fan does hum loud sometimes. Now we are getting black and white spots all over the screen.

Summary: We have owned this TV for 3 1/2 years now. Overall we have been happy with the TV but if we didn't have the extended warranty, I would be really pissed.

Last year we had to replace the bulb after almost 3 years so not terrible but it ... Expand full review

"I love my 73" TV" By gingie7

Pros: Low price for a 73" HD TV; beautiful picture and no problems.

Cons: Audio is poor, but that is most TV's with no surround sound system.

Summary: I've had this TV for 3 years. I have had no problems. Picture is beautiful. I do have Directv HD package and I'm sure that makes it all the better. I would definitely buy this TV again. My son purchased the 65" Diamond Series and has replaced bulbs ... Expand full review
