Pros: Tv excels in both dimly and brightly lit applications. The picture quality is fantastic at full 1080P, amazing that even with the full 82" it remains crystal clear. Very good anti-glare, screen so immersive it makes every movie an adventure. SIZE!!!!

Cons: Mainly dark scenes. At this size the pixel count also makes a difference, even 720P (900,000+ pixels) looks very lack luster in comparison with how beautiful it is in 1080P (2 million+ pixels). Kind of a "grainy" picture when not correctly dialed in.

Summary: I have been very pleased with the performance of the WD-82738. Whether its a sitcom, drama, sporting event, movie or HD concert, the tv delivers an amazing picture that continues to impress me to this day. I have owned the tv about a month now and could not be happier with my decision. This tv is not the best on the market with dark scenes involving a lot of black levels, but is very good for a DLP. The TV is also best calibrated by someone with a lot of experience, as when not correctly done can result in a "grainy" picture. Also as i said, once you watch a bluray on it you win scoff at HD television and its rather non impressing 720P picture. I cant wait for 1080P broadcasting. Overall, i have to give this tv a 4 1/2 stars. It is a beautiful television and performs far better than my wildest expectations. It s a great product and i would recommend it to anyone considering a tv of this size.
