Pros Sharp, clear, and excellent picture
Cons I find nothing wrong with this TV yet
Summary This TV have an excellent picture, with correct settings your get nice deep blacks, excellent details, and beatiful picture, the price is irresistible, I'm very happy with this purchase, you can go to AV forums and find nice setting for this TV.
Pros Supurb Picture, great sound, large screen
Cons Slow startup (Not Instant-On), but uses only .4 watts in standby mode
Summary Very good solid performer for picture and sound. Many functions and picture control options for fine tuning of picture and sound, but not needed. I have always liked the Sony SXRD models the best, but when I viewed the Sony 61" SXRD side-by-side with the Panasonic 56" at the store and barely noticed any difference except for the price (the Panasonic was $1,029 less than the Sony during a short term Xmas sale)
I also purchased the Toshiba HD-A30 HD-DVD Player and the two coupled together are unbelievable (Player On-sale: $250 plus get seven decent selectable HD-DVDs ($25 each) so the player only has a net cost of $75). Even with standard DVDs, the Toshiba upconverted to near HD picture levels giving my video collection new life. Even black and white videos looked great.
Pros There is no pros
Cons Expensive to maintain.
Pros good picture when it works
Cons my third lamp just went out in 2.5 years. I also have two other friends that have this tv and they have both lost one each. If I didn't have the geek squard extended warrenty I would have thought this piece of crap in the trash by now.
Pros lamp warrantied for 5 years although it did fail once in 2 years, called panasonic, technician came in and replaced the lamp, works great
Cons had no tv for 4 days
Summary buying point is that lamp is warranted for 5 years but it will fail once in that time period.
