I bought this TV about 2-1/2 years ago when it was around the same price to buy a nice 42" plasma (around $2700) and there was no 1080p to speak of. Once you have a set this large you'll never go back. Now that plasma and LCD prices allow you to get a 50" for the same price as 60" rear-pro, it's a lot better, but I still wouldn't settle for less than a 60". As flat-panels continue to fall in price, I can't wait (who can?) until a good 60-70" plasma is around $3000-$3500. If my bulb can hold out for another 12-24mo then I think we'll be there...
