"THE PICTURE LAMP DIED AFTER A WEEK OF SALE" on by EXVISOR
Pros: PARTS NOT AVAILBLE, ON BACK ORDER
Cons: NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE TROUBLE
Summary: I BOUGHT THIS TV ONLY BECAUSE MY LAST RCS PROJECTION TV LASTED 12 YEARS AND DIED, BOUGHT THIS ONE FOR THAT REASON, WENT WITH THE BEST WHICH IS DLP ,AFTER A WEEK THE LAMP BURNED OUT ,THE LAMP IS ON BACK ORDER, I FOUND OUT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WAITING MONTHS FOR THIS BULB THAT YOU CAN INSTALL YOUR SELF IN MINUTES
ALSO THE STAND WAS TO COME WITH THE TV ,WHEN I BOUGHT THE TV NO STAND, HAD TO GO OUT AND BUY ONE, THEY SAID THEY WOULD REIMBURSE ME ,NEVER HAPPEND, RETURNED TV TO STORE AND WENT TO A REGULAOR PROJECTION TV, I GUESS THIS NEW DLP OR LCD IS TO NEW TO WHERE THERES NO PARTS AVAILABLE, STICK WITH WHAT'S OUT THERE UNTIL THESE TV'S HAVE BEEN OUT A WHILE
ALSO NOTE RCA'S WARRANTY IS BEING HANDLED BY A COMPANY CALLED THOMSON ,THEY WANTED ME TO GIVE THEM MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER SO THEY COULD CHARGE ME 300.00 FOR THIS LAMP/BULB AND WHEN i SHIP THE DEFECTIVE ONE BACK THEY WOULD CREDIT ME, I DON'T THINK SO -
"Broken Light Engine" on by aeonhale
Pros: Very Slim.
Cons: Never Worked
Summary: I bought an InFocus 50MD10 which is a rebranded RCA HD50THW263 (the 50" version of this one) and it was delivered with a broken light engine. The service tech said this wasn't something that would happen in shipping that it was missed at the factory. Neither the reseller (woot.com) or InFocus/RCA would give me a new set so after much fighting, I shipped it back for a refund.

"DLP Viewing at its Best" on
Pros: Am using RCA's DLP 61" system and I'm very pleased with its functionality & quality of picture.
Cons: Wished the set would automatically seek the "input" of signal made available to it, rather then myself having to change.

"RCA 61" DLP online for $4400" on
Pros: The unit looks very good on its RCA matching Stand. Hooked up nicely with my PC and am able to show full-size photos from my netted computers. The picture is clean and rich colored.
Cons: It needs to be unplugged when its hard drive gets stuck. The mouse and remote need to both have the same capability, it is unhandy to have to go to the keyboard for "enter" where the cursor is.
