Pros: Gorgeous Picture, Amazing

    Cons: Audio Was Off

Summary: This was shaping up to be my dream tv. The picture was amazing, the look was fabulous, but after owning it for a few weeks, I noticed something very disturbing. Every now and then the audio would be off. I don't mean a little off, but seriously off. I'm talking old Godzilla movies off. I found out that this is a pretty common for Samsung DLP sets and returned it right away. If you can stand the terrible audio, then this t.v. will not dissapoint. I decided to trade mine in for a new Mitsubishi 52" 52525 dlp set. I'll let you know how that one pans out ;).

I'd have to wholeheartedly agree with sroberson and his comment regarding your review. You even said yourself that the picture this TV was producing was "amazing" and yet you gave this TV a four because it apparently had a glitch with its speakers? I'm not saying your problem wasn't a valid concern, but this TV doesn't deserve such a poor score just because you encountered an audio issue with this television.

If you really want to experience the full experience with a television such is this, then you should consider investing in a decent 5.1 audio system. Personally, I keep my TV speakers on mute 100% of the time and only utilize the Denon receiver/speakers I have hooked up to it.

The WD52527 from Mitsubishi is not a DLP, its an LCD projection. The WD52327 is a DLP, maybe thats the one you have??

You buy a tv for the picture, not the audio. If you want good audio, with ANY TV, you should invest in the appropriate reciever and speaker combination whether surround or stereo. The TV has outputs to these audio accessories.

That's a first for me! I didn't know that.Where did you see that? I mean where'd ya get that imfo? I will look deeper before I make my choice in TV's. It's been long enough now,3-1/2 months since you've had your Mitsubishi 52"52525 DLP set. How does it work for ya? Is it as good as all these ratings for this set have been????? Thanks!

I will never buy another Samsung product - nothing - ever. I do not own this particular TV, but my experience in owning Samsung DVD players and dealing with their customer service, who accused me of tampering with their product in order to return them, I have just given up. I wrote several email messages to Samsung customer service management, with no response... this company just does not care about quality or service.
There are other good choices available.
