CNET Editors' Take

CNET did not review the Samsung HL-T6187S, but we did review a smaller model in the series.

Review: Although CNET did not review the 61-inch Samsung HL-T6187S, we did review the 56-inch Samsung HL-T5687S. Judging from their spec sheets, the two Samsung DLP-based rear-projection HDTVs are essentially identical but for screen size, so we expect the picture quality of the 56-inch model to provide a good indication of how the 61-incher will perform. For more information, refer to the full review of the Samsung HL-T5687S. For additional details on Samsung's lineup DLP-based HDTVs, see our roundup.

Cons Confusing User Manual; Awkward Remote lacking AV functions

Summary I am so happy that I waited for this television. The LED engine blows away the projection lamp. You can tell right out of the box the difference between the two. The set is quiet and it does not run near as hot as the projection lamp models. The picture ... Expand full review
