"Great TV, Now that it works."
Pros: Picture quality is great, sound is pretty good. Games and movies look beautiful.
Cons: TV arrived with a busted power supply.
Summary: The TV is absolutely great. The only issue I have was with busted power supply. TV worked for about 5min then cut off and would not come back on. Samsung was very helpful and did not fight with having it repaired. The sent a tech who had it fixed in 3 days. Would of been 2 days but he ordered the wrong part. Very pleased with purchase and am looking forward to enjoying it for years to come. Also of note is the bulb life expectancy of 20,000 hours for the LED version compared with 3,000 - 6,000 for the standard DLP with color wheel.

I bought my HLT6187S about a month and a half ago and I love it. I still tell everyone that DLP is superior to plasma or LCD on or off chip! I had a little problem with shipping. It seems that Circuit City charges an additional $156.00 to ship vendor direct to your place. You cannot pick it up at your local Circuit City. The picture is crisp in 1080i or sometimes in 720p(with pillars). You can change pillar colors also. Most of the time I just put it on "just scan" and I get the best pic. possible. It gives all the pertinent info on res., stereo, HD, ect. The remote is not the greatest but if you have Direct TV HD, then you will use their remote. There are plenty of connections(3 HDMI, 1 DVI, PC input, serial input, USB(only 1.1), 2 sets of component inputs, 2 s-videoand plenty of audio connections. You also can download(from your PC onto a flashdrive) software upgrades from Samsung. Audio from speakers is not bad but you should have it hooked up to a 5.1 or better audio system. The only thing I wish I had is PIP(HLT6189S has it). But for the price ($2499), you can't beat the TV. Also on screen displays are excellent. The tv has an LED (bottom center) that lights up when the tv is on(I believe it is one of the lamp LEDS). You can turn it off. Also the tv chimes when turned off and a different chime when turned on. I could go on and on. But let someone else continue.61" is fantastic!
