Summary: " A new broom sweeps clean" Its only been here 3 days and after being let down by ordering a sony on line from lcdtvs.com , I went to local private store and saw a samsung 61 and it looked great ..they told me about the 72 and said it could be here in 2 days . It was , They installed it and it is just incredible ! The Best picture from a dlp i have seen and i would put it up against any lcd set . I have theater sound system so I cant comment on its sound but the picture is worth it if you have to pay full retail !Its worth a 10 rating so far !

This awesome set is now 3 months old . Just an amazing picture ...until ... We turned it off one night and the next day .. a black screen , nothing , powers up but no picture . Repairman says its a dmd board or the main power board . Also said all these new tvs are designed to last 2 years . GREAT $4500.00 FOR 2 YEARS OF TV IS A BIT STEEP .Updated
Its BACK ITS GREAT ! samsung sent more parts than needed , just to be sure and Audio Adrenaline (the store who sold it to me) supplied a loaner while it was waiting for parts ! not happy it went down but happy with everything else and the picture is truly amazing . No one who has seen it has failed to comment on the astounding picture (not even the installers and the repairman ). -

Pros: picture quality is excellent in HD, very bright true picture
Cons: a little big if you are living in a basement suite you may have trouble getting it down the basement
Summary: My sons call it the monster TV. I have it hooked up to starchoice satelite tv in Alberta Canada and the HD picture is breathtaking. We hardly watch the regular channels any more because of the picture quality difference. I would recommend this set to anyone. I don't know why Samsung have discontinued making them. You may still be able to get one if you phone the retailer direct and ask if they have any I got mine at Visions, apparently they had bought up a bunch of these sets when Samsung discontinued them
