"Exceded my expectations!!"
Pros: 1080p with 120Hz refresh rate. 61-inches of screen. Samsung quality
Cons: Hallogen lamp (not LED).
Summary: I purchased this set on sale for $1399 at a local retailer. I originally wanted to purchase the HL-61A750 (LED model) of this TV, but after viewing them side-by-side I was very surprized to see how subtle the difference in picture quality really was...definitely not worth the extra $500 in price!! Although the LED model reprotedly has a longer lifespan than the halogen bulb, DLP (even LED DLP) is rapidly going by the way of the dinosaur (only Samsung and Mitsubishi still make them)...so I dont imagine keeping this TV longer than 5-years anyway. Also, I've read that the LED's burn out one at a time, and since the picture quality degrades slowly (instead of all-at-once), you can have 4 or 5 of the LED's gone before you notice a difference!! So I used the money I saved to buy an 80GB Sony PS3!!
The fit and finish of this set is surpurb. The slim bezel allows this 61" set to fit where others would not. All of the connections are located on the left rear side of the set rather than on the very back...still tucked away, but much easier to reach!! There are PLENTY of connections for digital and analog, and the "out-of-the-box" performance was impressive. Color was accurate (with a few adjustments for the room I chose) and did NOT require professional calibration.
I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone wanted a 61" TV that wont break the bank!!
