Pros: beautiful picture, lots of inputs

    Cons: only one HDMI input

Summary: WHERE I COME FROM: This is my first HD set. I researched the field for about two months. I went with the Sony because its picture seemed head and shoulders above other projection sets and even most plasmas (my price range: <$2,500; paid $1,900 at Circuit City). I did a lot of comparision shopping, both in store and online. I've had the set for only four days.

Set up was simply (unlike constructing the TV stand my wife insisted on). Picture quality blew me away. With an HDMI connection, DVDs looked almost HD to me. The Discovery HD channel is awesome on this set - as if you are looking through a window. Even SD channels are worth watching.

Altogether,I dropped about $3k moving up to HD (set, stand, HDMI DVD player, cables, DVDs) and so far, at least, I have zero "buyer's remorse"!
