"Excellent HDTV!"
Pros: Beautiful clarity and contrast with great viewing angles.
Cons: Speakers a bit whimpy, but who doesn't have an aux. sound system?
Summary: like thousands of others I studied and studied which type of TV and brand to buy. Based upon the pixelation of Plasma and the reflections on the screen I ruled plasma out. LCD was pricey in large formats and LCD screen burn out bothered me (have individual pixels out in an LCD TV I purchased a year ago). That left DLP or Sony LCD projection TVs. I spent many hours reading about and watching each type of TV and was convinced that overall the Sony Grand WEGA was the best choice. When I walked into Circuit City on Black Friday and saw it on an unadvertised special of $1079 there was no more debating the decision. I have it set up in my living room and though it replaced a 32 inch Hitachi CRT TV and is large, it is impressive in HD mode! It looks great on cable and even better on DISH HD and wonderful with DVDs played on my new LG upconvert DVD player. I would not be writing this review if I didn't really believe my choice was a great one. I hope this influences someone to ease their pain of indecision and just go get a Sony Grand WEGA!
