"ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!"
Pros: HD looks fantastic, good value, sleek design, replacable bulb for only 120 bucks, number of connections (2 HDMI, 2 component and 3 standard I think, 7 total)
Cons: really week on stand alone sound, SD looks so-so (to be expected)
Summary: I only rated this a 9 because the audio is best through a seperate sound system. My wife and I bought this from best buy during their direct tv promotion and it was already listed below the retail. we saved additional money if we had surround sound installed, which this TV absolutely needs. This TV looks excellent with HD signals, side-by-side in the store its nearly impossible to notice a difference between 720p and 1080i or 1080p, so just save your money and get this one. The only reason the regular signal looks mediocre is because you will get addicted to HD as soon as you see it on this TV. We only have a pioneer progressive scan DVD player but it has component connection and regular DVD's look almost HD quality on this TV. With the new 1080p and 1080i sets on the market, prices for these should drop even more. Get one of these, I promise you wont be upset that you didnt waste another grand getting the 1080p or 1080i TV (both signals this TV can handle very well also, by way of converting).
