"Two Gone Bad"
Pros: Picture is great when watching a DVD. Picture is decent for regular shows, some stations better than others. Takes a while to read through the manual but pretty easy to use.
Cons: I gave it a "poor" rating because I am tired of dealing with issues regarding this model. Two deliveries, lost time at work, return of two broken TV's.
Summary: I have gone through two of these since 2/25/05. The first TV would not turn on, the second has display screens (menu, channel, program title, etc.) that will randomly black-out (you can't read anything). I have contacted Sony about the black-out and they have no resolution but to have a service provider take a look at it. I am returning the TV, I should not have to have service on a TV that is only a week old. Also, I got the built-in HD because I thought it would be the best option instead of getting a seperate box. Boy was I wrong. I do not have cable, only a roof-top antenna. I am supposed to get local channels in HD but in turns out that I would need to buy even more equipment (expensive antenna) to get the best signal. Our local stations are 4, 5, 7, 9. I cannot get a signal for 4 or 5. 7 rarely comes in and 9 constantly flickers in and out. If you want an HD picture, you have to have cable. Everyone I talked to before purchasing this TV recommended Sony. I will probably go with another brand because of this experience.
