    "Only 6 weeks old and trouble!"

    Pros: Great picture if it works

    Cons: Poor fan relays poor customer service

    Summary: Bought This TV 6 weeks ago and was amazed by the picture BUT went to turn it on and got 4 red blinking lights! Sony CustomerCare (they don't)Said it was a bad fan and ordered the parts to be shipped to their contracted service company Qualixserv.
    Gave me a dispatch # and toll free to call sevice company. I was told the part will ship that day and it will be in service company's hand on Mon/Tue and they will call for repair. Come to find out on Tue that parts were not shipped and wont be in stock for another week (they were supposed to be there on nov 17th)as they are back ordered. I found out from Qualixserv that they only have 5 contracted repair people for the whole state of California of which 2 were on disability!!! 3 people to serve ALL OF CALIFORNIA! Circuit City says after 30 days not our problem. Sony says it won't consider an exchange till are sure they resolve anything after several weeks. "The parts are scheduled to be in so we will wait until the parts come in SORRY." I informed them of their contracted service companys troubles in CA and they said "really we didn't know that but still we are sorry we will wait" (and so will I...I guess)..thought Sony was better than this. NOT VERY HAPPY after hours of waiting on hold (~ 4hours)and talking with Sony CustomerCare Sony Parts and Qualixserv. I'll bet I don't see my TV working till after Christmas!

    I'm having the same problem with one of the fans in my tv. The local service company has already been out once and replaced a fan and it is still randomly not working as before. Sony will not allow any other company to work on it under warranty and the techs they use are underpaid and uneducated. I don't know when my tv will be repaired. Sony's customer service and customer relations departments personel are very scripted and unhelpful.
