Sony KDS-60A2000

Pros: Simply excellent in HD, best picture I have seen

Cons: none for me

Summary: I started out looking at DLP and Plasma sets and was just so impressed by the picture I saw on the KDSR60XBR1 in my local stores. After doing some research on the Net, I was convinced Sony was on the right track with its SXRD system. And when I discovered that the KDS-60A2000 was available at a lower price, that was the clincher. I got the set 3 days ago and it is impressive. I have it in a room with 2 skylights and there is no issue at all with picture brightness or glare on the screen. When watching HD channels, the picture is just impressive. No smearing can be detected at all like I noticed on some DLP or plasma models. Watching baseball on this set makes you feel like your on the field with the players! Get an upscaling DVD player to take advantage of the set's 1080i capability when watching DVDs. No comparision between my old Sony progressive scan player ( which output at 480p) and my new Sony DVP-NS75H! It is very very close to watching an HD channel. Much, much better clarity and detail. And on some DVDs you will also get the added benefit of a larger picture. This happened with our DVD of Independence Day. You won't be disappointed with this set!
