Great picture until it breaks. Repeatedly.by - September 1, 2004
Pros: Great picture w/ high-quality signals. Great on DVDs, HDTV signals.
Cons: My second 42H83, received after the first one failed at day 30 of ownership, is also now broken. Parts are apparetntly non-existent. Toshiba customer service of absolutely no help. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra cash and get a reliable model from So

Patience while fine tuning set-up will be rewardedby - June 13, 2004
Pros: Excellant picture, once set-up easy to tweak for individual programs. Auto-focus very good,manual convergence a bonus. Non-network shows e.g.discovery etc. are exceptional. Dvds with component are second to none. Sound system better than most lower cost
Cons: Picture rendering almost too good as lesser quality signals can show flaws. These are not visible with better signals e.g.enhanced digital, or satellite.
