"Great TV for a Great Price"
Pros: Terrific Picture, Looks great right out of the box, Price
Cons: Haven't come across any as of yet.
Summary: I read a lot of forums and reviews before buying my Toshiba. Actually the information I read kept me from buying a DLP for almost a year. I finally went ahead and got it and I am 100% happy with the purchase. The last straw was the price drop. The TV dropped to $1999 and I got another $100 off for signing up with HDTV cable. A 62" 1080P HDTV for $1899. That is a bargain. The TV looks great right out of the box. The TV sits in a very bright room and there are no problems with glare from the windows on a sunny day. I am sitting about 8' from the TV and at that distance there is little or no difference in picture quality when viewing at angles. Standard digital cable was one of my big worries, but I worried for nothing. Standard digital cable 480i looks just like it did on my old CRT TV only bigger. I have viewed tons of content and there is no "rainbow effect" as listed in some reviews and user opinions. Standard DVDs at 480 looks ok and in my opinion better than it did on my old TV, but the TV shines when viewing in 1080p. Now there is discussion as to no 1080p inputs and that is true, but the TV does a terrific job of upconverting 1080i to 1080p and since I have nothing that pushes a 1080p signal I don't miss having it. I was nervous about my purchase and bought it expecting to have problems like some reviews mentioned. I am glad to say the Toshiba has blown me away, and I couldn't be happier.Updated
TV has had no problems since purchased. Only noticiable problem is when switching from HDTV back to SD Cable. Sound has to be lowered because of SD volume is much louder than HDTV. Not sure why. Send me a comment if you know how to fix this. Still love the TV.Updated
I have had this TV for almost a year so I thought I would update my post. The TV has operated flawlessly since turned on last year. The TV currently has an XBOX 360 and a Wii and gaming on the TV is a blast. It has been a blast owning this TV. I have recommended this TV to all my family and friends.
