"Broken bulb after 2 months" on by doctorfeo
Pros: good picture and reasonably priced
Cons: bulb burned out after 2 months
Summary: This is my first large screen TV. The picture looks great with my HD directtv and xbox 360. Unfortunately, the bulb burned out after 2 months of below average use (1 to 2 hours a day). Fortunately, Toshiba was able to provide good customer support.I am currently waiting for a new bulb to be fedexed.
Most of the TVs that I have used in the past lasted 10 to 20 years and are under $300. I hope this is not a trend for high def TVs.Updated
It has been about two weeks since the bulb burned out and I called Toshiba for a replacement. I have called again today 2/15/06 and they have not sent the bulb because it is in back order.
Are you kidding me? Does this television model break that often. I will follow-up once the bulb arrives in "7 to 10 days"
PS. It makeas a great decoration pieceUpdated
After about a month, I finally got my bulb. For those of you who do not know, all broken bulbs are returned and refurbished. For now, my TV is back for the basic essential: directtv, xbox360.
I will write again if I have another problem. -
"WORST TV EVER" on by toSHITba
Pros: NO PROS- ALL CONS
Cons: WHERE DO I START??
Summary: So- it's been three weeks now since I talked to ToSHITba about my lamp going out. The lamp arrived 9 days later but guess what? It didn't work! I called the same day and now, 14 days later, they can't tell me the status. The people at customer service are RUDE too... Well, when the part does arrive, a technician will have to come and install it- and that takes a week (at least) for an appointment. So I'm looking at another 2 weeks minimum. Who knows if this part will even be what's wrong with it?? I have learned one thing- I have been taking a TV (and quality products) for granted. I wish ToSHITba would come pick it up and give me my money back, since I'm still having to pay for cable and pay the TV off too...

"I love It. HD Is amazing." on by pcmann
Pros: Crisp clean HD pictures.
Cons: At time the tv will power cycle and I am not sure why. Seems very voltage-sensitive.
Summary: This is my first HDTV but I love it. Has 2 HDMI connections, Compnenent connections and S video Connections Many Connections!!
Think there may be an issue because at times it power cycles, even though I have it connected to a UPS. May be doing something I shouldn't.
Channels take taime to tune.
Has own TV Guide and can setup to record via Firewire and other onscreen controls.Updated
Power cycling must have been something on my end because it has never done it again.
DVD movies are amazing, High Definition is Unbelievable!! -
