"Best Value Available!"
Pros: Connectivity, anti-glare screen, 1080p, slim bezel, quick startup time
Cons: Some minor pixelation (might be source), no PIP
Summary: Had a 720P Mitsubishi for a couple of years before it quit...extended warranty came through, though it took about 3 months. The Mitsu was really good, but glass screen cover reflected any light in the room as glare. The Toshiba does not. Also, the Mitsu had about a 2" wide bezel...this Toshiba has about 1/2" bezel...the 65" Toshiba actually looks smaller than the 62" Mitsubishi did. No knocks against Mitsubishi, but after the TV failed 3 times, was ready to try something else. The extended warranty (through GE) eventually just paid me about $2k to replace the TV after 3 failures of the same component.
HD is crisp, clear, and a HUGE picture. It is about 12.5 square feet of HD beauty!! Purchased the TV in late June from a big store retailer and got a package deal with a HD-DVD player...awesome picture!
I was also looking at the new 1080p Mitsubishis, and the LCD-lamp-engine Samsungs, but the Toshiba was 100's less (about $1k less then the new technology Samsungs, which only go up to 61"). There is a BIG difference between a 61"/62" and 65" TV and I have had both in my house.
Bottom line: great TV at a great price!
