"Don't read the review! CNET doesn't even know this unit DOES NOT have an Iris!" on by bstromberg1

Pros: The BEST Native Contrast Ratio in the Industry

Cons: Does require slight adjustment to get the best picture, but easy to do.

Summary: The reviewer here obviously was on crack at the time they wrote this review. THERE IS NO IRIS ON THIS UNIT AS THE REVIEWER STATES! The whole concept behind this unit was to take native contrast ratios to new benchmarks and JVC did it by eliminating the iris and developing a new way to control contrast without an iris. I saw the comparison at a showroom and it was so impressive, I upgraded my Sony VPL-VW12HT to this. I planned on buying the Sony 60 but this one rocks. It's really disappointing know that people come here for information when it can be so misleading.
PS I am not an employee of JVC. Just a customer luckly did his research somewhere else before he came here.
