"Best radar detector I've owned...and I've owned a few."4.0 starson by Blkcofy_2000
Pros: The fact that it's active vs. passive -- meaning you are immediately linked to a community that is constantly feeding data on where speed traps are located. The iPhone app takes speed management strategies to the next level.
Cons: I hate cords! I previously had a cordless Escort, which I was satisfied with. Now my wife has it, and while I love my iRadar, having to deal with powering both it and the iPhone on long trips is annoying and cumbersome.
Summary: If you assume the cost of your iPhone is a sunk cost...spending $170 for one of the BEST radars in the market is a no brainer.
