"good mid-line detector for someone on a budget."
Pros: Loud at first, then quiets. Nice easy and easy to use operation. Average warning. Good mid-line detector for someone on a budget.
Cons: frequent alarms. Obnoxious start-up. Occasional late detection. Suction cups are hard to use.
Summary: This detector has frequent false alarms; however, that can be cut by nearly 75% by just turning off the X-band, which is utterly useless anyway. On top of that, it can sometimes warn you late. This is not the detector for a street racer or someone who expects to be going 80 mph in a 35 mph zone. This is a fantastic detector if you want a little extra warning. I ultimately am looking into a career with heavy background checks that don't even allow speeding tickets, so having a wing man to watch my back is exactly what I need. I'm no racer, but having the ability to go a few over the limit without worrying so much about a ticket is nice. Don't over rely on it and you will be fine. Overall, it does what you want it to do. 90% of the time it gives you plenty of warning, and will usually be very good at what it's made to do.
