"Great radar, but can't believe..."
Pros: Radar detector itself
Cons: SUCTION CUPS!
Summary: Ok, I managed to acquire a less than 1yr old as the previous owner used it less than a handful and the price was right ($170) so I thought, why not?
I love the auto mute function. The chirping wasn't as annoying as I thought it would be as it would chirp and then the noise goes lower and lower until it mutes itself. Good stuff!
I also thought I won't like the red LED, however, it wasn't bad at all. I had wanted the Blue LED, but balked at paying premium of $40 or so just for the privilege of having it match my ambient interior blue lights of my TSX.
In any case, I've been using it every chance I get, even on short trips and so far, I haven't regretted my decision to purchase this thang! Only problem I had was the lousy suctions that came with it. Because of the lousiness of the suction, I had to place my radar right at the base - where the glass and my dash meets. I think I've been spoiled by the suction that my TomTom GPS provided.
I'm going to have to find some other solution without spending too much more $$!
