Very disappointed in this highly recommended monitor.
Pros: Good speaker, very clear sound, low static and hiss. Silent mode with activity detector was totally silent.
Cons: Terrible range, terrible range, terrible range
Review:
This monitor had a shorter range than the 7 year old 49mhz monitor I was attempting to replace. People walking through the transmission path would activate the annoying out of range alert beeps. I tested the range by walking outside and barely got 150 feet before the range alert started going crazy( the indoor range was even shorter). Other 900mhz minitors transmit up to 1000 feet. If you are using it in the very next room it works fine but it struggled when placed in the kitchen. The silent mode works well and the speaker is clear but I would only recommend this monitor for very small homes.
