The Bottom Line The Boston Acoustics Horizon Solo is a heavy-duty clock radio, but its bare-bones feature set will have shoppers trading up to the iPod-enabled step-up model. With its deep and detailed sound, the Boston Acoustics Recepter may well be the world's best tabletop clock radio. The Boston Acoustics Horizon Duo-i is a great-sounding AM/FM/iPod clock radio with plenty of customization and connectivity options. The Tivoli Model Three is a great tabletop radio, but the built-in alarm clock falls short of the digital competition. The Recepter Radio HD adds digital reception and stereo sound to Boston Acoustics' classic AM/FM radio.
