"Great sound and features when learned to use properly1"4.5 starson by ployartt
Pros: Great sound, dual alarm, fm and am antenna, headphone jack out. The bass is a amazing for a small unit Really good mids and highs. Dependable with back up time battery. Digital input jack. Attractive design Separate digital input.
Cons: Headphone has some digital noise emitting when not playing anything. Display can be bright. Full battery operation would be nice. Remote a bit flimsy. Have to reprogram preset stations after power failure. Top volume spindle can be sticky.
Summary: What a great buy. I am a bit of an audiophiole and want my itunes to sound good. I am not disapointed with the i525. Although learning how to operate the radio did take some time, the alarm functions are flawless. The volume of music ar alarm CAN be changed in the alarm menu for waking up. The bass is excellent, not too much but full and robust. Vocals are clear and musicality is balanced. High hats and cymbals seem a bit scratchy but still pleasant. This alarm clock turns up the volume quite a bit. Although the remote has some issues with working the first time every time, most controls are accessible on top of the unit. The i525 is almost too good for the bedroom and would move it to a kitchen or other small to medium sized room without hesitation. Although price is high, you get what you pay for. Seems ruggedly built and has snooze and nap timers that I actually use. Volume spindle could use some roughing up or the texture to make it adjust easier. I would buy this again knowing what I know now
