"iPod dock broke w/in weeks - no warranty or replacemnt"
Pros: Great sound quality in a compact unit. We don't have space or desire for a large surround-sound set up for our TV, and really like having this hooked to the flat-panel. It improves the TV experience significantly.
Cons: We chose this model specifically for the iPod docking station, which broke within weeks of purchase. The connection part simply came off, and cannot be fixed.
Summary: iPod docking station finicky & unsupported by Cambridge Soundworks. Not only does Cambridge Soundworks NOT cover this part under the warranty, but it also no longer carries this model or part. So I can't even pay them to replace the dock. After 3 calls and 2 emails to customer service, Justin told me to buy a new auxiliary iPod dock directly from Apple. Cambridge Soundworks has lost me as a customer.
Check warranty coverage before buying any products from this company!
Updated on May 11, 2009Also, CSW says they no longer carry this product at all, so they can't replace the whole unit even if they were willing to. Good grief, we just bought it!
