"Easy to use, super compact! Love it!" on by webwarriorgrrl

Pros: Comes with lots of features for a tiny mp3 player.

Cons: Headphones could always be better (buy which players couldn't?)

Summary: After looking for a small, reliable mp3 player I could use during exercise, I had numerous people steer me towards this Creative Nano Plus. I love it! I bought it in California at Fry's Electronics. Their in-store price was $99 and then had an additional $20 mail-in rebate. The Creative Nano Plus has a built-in voice recorder, and FM radio as well. The package I got at Fry's came with an armband carrier and clear mp3 skin to protect the player. I couldn't be happier with all this for $79!!! As for the ability of the Nano Plus, I had absolutely NO problem with the Creative software. I had the player loaded with some songs and was ready to go in less than 45 mins. using drop-n-drag. I like that it has a screen, and it holds way more music than the IPOD Shuffle. The sound reproduction is awesome, and there were no flaws in transferring files. The player also has the ability to direct line-in to any accepting cd player to download cd's. As for the headphones (earbuds), I'll probably upgrade them (like everyone else who buys any mp3 player.) The headphone sound is adequate, but headphones are not a "one size/sound fits all" item anyway.
After buying this Nano Plus, I'm definately looking at Creative's larger mp3 players to add to my collection for more portable storage. Nice job, Creative!

"An excellent MP3 alternative to higher priced models...I-Pod" on by greeneye77

Pros: Very affordable, easy to use, sounds great, has FM radio

Cons: Display is a little small, small dial not the best

Summary: We mere looking for a nice mp3 player and didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on an ipod. So we picked this little baby up for under $100. It sounds great, it's easy for us to use, and comes with everything you need to start putting songs on the device.

"Great NON-IPOD MP3 flash player" on by DMSkinner

Pros: Small size and great features with great sound.

    Cons: None yet ; ^ )

Summary: As an astute technophile, I researched many MP3 players before deciding to purchase the Creative Zen Nano Plus (512MB) for my wife. Its small size and list of nice features like a built-in voice recorder, FM radio with FM recording, a rubber carrier with clip and arm band. The ear buds have great sound, too. Windows XP recognized the player and I did not need to install the software (less is best), while Windows Media Player worked great for uploading music. With a great line of products and new products coming out soon, Creative Labs will turn allot of people into mobile media device owners.

"Seemed great till it crashed and died just post warranty" on by dehalla

    Pros: Small...not an apple

Cons: Stopped working after 5 months of light use, difficult to use, small screen

Summary: I would have given this player an 8 if it hadn't stopped working after five months of fairly infrequent use. Tech support was responsive...but not helpful.

I have not tried Apple MP3 players but Creative and Rio players both seem to be overly complicated for my non-tech savy girlfriend (who was the recipient). I often heard her cursing if she was ever in a hurry to load stuff to go on a run.

Incidentially, I got a Creative Zen after this...it stopped working in two days. Bummer. I'm now willing to join the Apple music monopoly.

"Has all I wanted, plus more!" on by MrGeek2U

Pros: Plays MP3, WMA, WMA -DRM, easy to learn controls and operations, easy USB interface, battery available anywhere, protective case with belt clip and arm band included

Cons: Headphone cord is a bit short, hard to see L or R, non-removeable ear pads

Summary: Purchased this unit after a bit of shopping around and because of the CNET review. I am very pleased with the performance, ease of use and size of the unit. It has all you could want from a flash based player. Also, when I went online, the vendor was having a special; I saved $10 !!!
