The good: The iLuv iMM173 iPod alarm clock is compatible with the iPhone and offers two docks, a useful remote control, and a bright, high-contrast display.
The bad: The iLuv iMM173's lacks AM radio and although audio quality is good enough to get you out of bed, it won't replace your stereo.
The bottom line: The iLuv iMM173 is one of the better iPhone-compatible alarm clocks we've tested, and the extra built-in dock makes it a great choice for couples.
The iLuv Double Play iMM173 ($130) is one of a handful of iPod alarm clocks that are also compatible with the Apple iPhone. As the name suggests, the Double Play boasts two universal iPod docks, making it an ideal bedside companion for couples with more than one iPod or iPhone to charge at night.

Design
Aside from the twin universal iPod docks on the top of the iLuv Double Play, the rest of the alarm clock looks pretty standard, with a typical footprint of 11 inches by 3.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Controls for adjusting volume, setting the clock and alarm, and managing radio presets are found on the top of the clock, along with a large, illuminated Snooze button located right where it should be: front and center. Less prominent is a dock-selector button, used to designate which iPod gets played through the speakers, and intelligently placed out of morning flail distance near the back of the unit.
On the back of the iLuv Double Play, you'll find an auxiliary audio input, an attached FM radio antenna, headphone output, power adapter input, and a Daylight Savings Time switch. There's also a large, magnetized pad on the back of the Double Play that you can use to store the included remote control.

"Great alarm clock and music player" By MrJivey
Pros: Good sound, good alarm clock and syncs with your iPhone.
Cons: Not much that I can say about the cons, I haven't seen anything wrong with mine.
Summary: The one thing that I've notice is that when I first open it out of the box all I did was place my iPhone 3Gs on the charging port and the clock time was automatically setup with my iPhone. For people that want a stereo surround sound system, this ... Expand full review
"Terrible piece of garbage, DO NOT BUY" By SimonSen6
Pros: None, really. Nice LOOKING features, at least if it worked
Cons: Remote needs to be pointed at an odd angle if it works, locks up a lot due to many causes (removing/replacing devices in docks, pressing play), problems with playback, slow response to remote or buttons-randomly, problems get worse/more frequent
Summary: Really, this is one horribly frustrating piece of poorly designed, tested, and built, trash! It's shiny and looks cool, and IF it actually worked well it'd be awesome. Unfortunately this worthless garbage WILL let you down in so many ways. For example: remote needs to be pointed at ... Expand full review
