Bottom line
While the HD Radio format still has its foibles, the Insignia NS-HD01's $50 price tag makes it recommendable for anyone who wants a cheap, easy, and portable way to enjoy digital HD Radio stations.
Insignia gives portable HD radio second chance
Though it does include an HD Radio tuner at a fairly low price, the no-frills iLuv i168 doesn't offer much to distinguish itself from the clock radio competition.
Hailed by audiophiles as one of the greatest tuners ever, the Sony XDR-F1HD is arguably the best--and most affordable--way to add HD radio to any stereo system.
If you're looking for a cost-effective means of bringing HD Radio into your car, the JVC KT-HDP1 is an attractive option.
