Symantec Ghost Corporate Edition 8.0 is the premier tool for PC deployment, recovery, cloning, and migration. It dramatically reduces IT costs by streamlining the configuration and management of networked workstations. Now administrators can deploy or restore an OS image or application onto a PC in minutes and migrate user settings and profiles to customize the PC. From the Symantec Ghost central management console, IT managers can remotely clone any Windows NT or Windows 2000 workstation. The console can also be used to quickly deploy whole application packages or specific PC changes such as registry changes or desktop settings as well as to migrate user "personalities" including PC settings and data. And, IT managers can remotely clone multiple workstations and then quickly configure critical workstation data such as TCP/IP settings and machine, workgroup, and domain names. Symantec Ghost makes complete, reliable backups of PC drives, including applications and critical data. Administrators can choose to deploy entire operating systems, application packages, user "personalities, " network configuration settings, or incremental backups. SYMANTEC SECURITY VALUE LICENSE PROGRAM The Value Program is a simple transactional plan that provides incentives for orders as few as 10 licenses and rewards the purchase of multiple product types within a product family. As a certificate-based program, the Value Program is ideal for small- to mid- sized companies. Customers simply purchase a media pack and the number of licenses needed from their reseller, and they then receive a license certificate directly from Symantec. The Value Program offers volume discounts to customers, who may commit to larger deals. Customers can now combine licenses for products within the same 'product family' helping them to meet the minimum purchase requirement or to qualify for a higher price band. The Value Program also provides up-sell opportunities on all deals with 1st and 2nd year Maintenance contracts, Maintenance renewals, as well as higher-level technical support options. The Value Program includes all the Symantec enterprise software products (with the exception of Symantec appliances) thus eliminating the need to submit separate purchase orders.
