"Touch screen no good and Logitech will not replace it"
1.0 starson by wtaylor2Pros: Color screen is nice with large icons compared to wand style remotes.
Cons: Buyer beware! If the touch screen breaks, Logitech will not replace it even if it is a factory defect. Had one for just over 30 days and it is now just an expensive paper weight. Broke in my hand with no abuse. Did not drop it or drop anything on it.
Summary: I owned the Harmony just over one month and the screen cracked while I was pressing the number pad button in the lower corner of the display. No abuse and minimal pressure. Had to be a factory defect but Logitech would not replace the unit.
Something to consider when buying universal remotes, and this applies to all touch screen remotes. The large touch screen display is a really bright light that is distracting when you are in a dark viewing room. I did not consider this when I bought the 1100 but knowing this from experience, I will take this into consideration when buying a replacement.
I won a Harmony 700 which has worked well for me in another room, which is why I decided to buy the 1100. Big mistake! Stick with the wand style with hard programmable buttons.
