Summary I bought this remote about a month ago.
It is close to being a perfect universal remote.
The flaw, however, was so significant that I must rate it as an overall failure (I spent a day's pay on it and have literally thrown it away less than a month later).
The physical design of the battery case allows the batteries to become unseated for just a moment and for the remote to lose power. This is only momentary and would be a non-issue, except that when the remote senses power has returned it goes into a tutorial mode that says "push this button, push that button, blah blah blah" and cannot be exited. It takes about 2 minutes to get through this and then return the remote to whatever setting I was on. During this time the remote is inoperable. When I finally navigate through the tutorial (AGAIN!), my TV/DVR/etc are still on the desired setting, but the remote is in default. When I push "Watch TV" to set my remote I have to then point the remote at my couch cushion so that the remote doesn't reissue setup commands that my TV has already been told. The remote spends 30 seconds or so searching for my devices (which are already set!), and then it returns to normal. At this point I am ready to continue whatever I picked up my remote so long ago to do. After that I set the remote down as though it were made of crystal out of fear that it'll happen again. If I don't check the remote as I set it down, I wont notice that it is in tutorial mode again until the next commercial break. At that time I again have to spend 2 minutes messing with the remote before I can Fast Forward again (by the way, this is the same 2 minutes until the commercials are over anyway!). I watched more commercials in the last month because of this than I have at any time since I got my first DVR so many years ago.
The battery/power issue is directional and only happens when you tap the remote from the front. It takes surprisingly little force to cause this and it can happen repeatedly.
I plan to buy another remote now, and have no intention of giving Logitech any more of my business.
By the way, I am a long time Logitech user and fan. The keyboards and mouses at my office and home are wireless Logitechs, and when I play Xbox it is on a Logitech controller. This remote was not up to par, and they will be very hardpressed to earn my business back (especially if they don't bother to respond the the exhaustive review I left in response to an email they sent out).
Pros If you download and install the software you can set sequences and customize the buttons.
Cons After 1 week I still have not finished setting it up!
Summary Good remote once it is setup. Need to train the family on how to use it. While trying to set it up I would make changes then have to wait several minutes for the data to download to the remote.

Pros It consolidates all of your remotes into one.
Cons It will take 3 times as many button selections to get what you need, as opposed to using the remote for your actual device.
Summary I hate having 3 remotes, I thought buying one to consolidate would be a "life saver". NOT. It's much faster to pick up a different remote then it is to wage through the menus of the Harmony 600 hoping you'll hit the right button. Mine is in a bottom drawer.
Pros Easy online setup, self-corrects after intial setup to coordinate all components as desired,

Summary Purchased in Dec 2011 for $39.95 at a big box store. The most difficult task was getting it out of the package. I have a Panasonic TV, Onkyo receiver, Sony Blu-Ray player and a Motorola cable box. The setup online went smoothly. It works as advertised. Absolutely NO complaints. Well worth the money if you don't need any more bells and whistles than watching TV, DVD or listening to music.
Pros 1.) Screen is easy to read.
3.) Batteries last about 3 months under moderate use. Is that a pro?
4.) Terrible Customer Service.
Cons 1.) EXCEEDINGLY fragile.
3.) Only handles 5 devices.
Summary Okay so let me make it perfectly clear this is my first universal remote, and I am always careful with my things.To clarify upon rereading my review, you could see me on the security tapes dropping off the remote.
Screen is easy to read, using the "help" button when something wasn't working correctly was easy to handle.
Had to use said "help" button way too many times. My devices are a Samsung DV6000 46" TV, Samsung HD-450W Sound Bar, Telus (Scientific Atlanta) HDPVR, XBOX 360, Toshiba Blu-Ray Player. It's not like I am asking for obscure devices.
The remote would often confuse the power toggle on many devices. And before you say it was not set up correctly, it was. I double checked it six times and what the software said was installed was different from practical use.
The remote held together for four months under light use and very careful handling. Like I said - I take care of my things. After four months, I went to grab some water from the kitchen during a movie, put the remove on the SQUISHY armrest, and the remote's contoured bottom actually made it slip off, dropping it for the first time in it's lifetime, a distance of a whopping 2.5' if that.
The battery holder in the bottom of the remote is somehow damaged, and the batteries no longer stay securely in the compartment, which means if and when the device does power up, upon lifting it up like a normal user, it shuts off as the batteries drop out of contact with their contacts.
Also, under gentle shaking, the batteries seem to rattle around quite a bit.
So I figured, let's see if that is covered under warranty. Lucky for me, the warranty was still valid, so I went to go apply a claim.
After 50 minutes of handling Logitech, their software and their faulty and difficult to use (on purpose?) warranty claim service, I finally sent it in, and got a reply email the next day telling me to bring the box to a local Logitech distributor. There happens to be one in my city, you know, the big warehouses where they store everything off the plane for local transport and such. I went there, signed off on a bunch of stuff and they boxed it and said they would give me a call when another Logitech 600 was in stock (I couldn't believe it wasn't).
The next day they call me saying I can drop of my remote, a shipment came in. I told them I had already dropped it off and left it with them at the warehouse. They said they had no record of me doing so, even though you can see me leaving it and the employee putting it in a bin with a tag with my info. The bin was then moved out of the camera's view, and that's the end of my remote.
So after 3 days, $89.99 and enough frustration to telekinetically make something explode, I now have to go buy a new remote to replace my mysteriously missing one.
I used to be a huge fan of Logitech. Now, I stay as far from them as I can. They have good products but it seems they have a high percentage of defects, and if you get one of those defects, you really are up the creek on it.
