"great product really poor quality and durability"
on by kcrybackPros buttons feel better then previous version. programming is ez. great concept. No remote compares in function.
Cons Poor quality and durabilty and a history of poor quality and durability.
Summary I ordered 2. Both have key failures. Not 1 key failure but at least 2 each. Take into account my 2 old ones (8900's) are both dead after 3 years and this is a lot to pay for this horrible a quality. 1 remote having a problem? You can expect it. 2 brand new ones? OK, maybe it's a fluke. 1 user 4 remotes. 1 DOA, 1 dead after 2 years and 2 with keyboard issues. A great idea that needs some quality control. PS - the support has improved immeasurably since my first remote had quality control issues, but the best support can't cover for this kind of failure.

"Awesome purchase!"
on by bexter22Pros Does it all!
Cons There are no cons
Summary I am a gadget-hound and the Harmony One fits the bill. Please note, if you have any components behind walls or cabinets...wait for the RF Harmony One.
I have a TV, DVD (hooked up 2 different ways), Cable STB, Onkyo 605 (using Zone 2), Archos 605 & Media PC...and this single remote controls ALL of my devices. The price is absolutely reasonable considering it's the BEST universal IR remote on the market today. Cheers to Logitech for listening to its customers' suggestions and actually implementing them. This one remote has replaced 6 remotes in my house and I LOVE IT! -
"HARMONY ONE SCREEN HIGHLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO DAMAGE"
on by Skippy3719Pros There is absolutely no better remote on the market today in terms of functionality and ability to customize to your particular equipment.
Cons If you have hardwood or tile floors anywhere near the intended area of operation, seriously think twice about buying this remote. About two months ago, after owning the H-1 about 6 months, my 8 yr-old and my wife got into a fight over the remote and it w
Summary The bottom line on this remote is that although it works great, it is terrible in terms of durability. If you have carpet, then it's probably the remote to buy, but remotes get dropped all the time, and the H-1 is flat-out not able to take any hits on hardwood or tile. In addition, Logitech's customer support is unyielding as to replacement due to damage (I'm not even going to try submitting the second one for replacement). Logitech should seriously consider including a free protective cover with the remote, but the problem is their charging station is form fit to the remote so the charging station would have to be changed as well.

"Bad durability, don't buy if you have kids."
on by dishman_17Pros Easy to program, easy for wife and kids to use. Display is bright and intuitive. Made everything in our home theater and gaming layout one to two clicks away, even our favorite channels!
Cons The remote is made too thin and flexible and touch screen isn't durable enough to handle dropping or accidental stepping on by children. All it takes is one accident and the device will break. The remote was wedged between the cushins of the couch and m
Summary This will break if you have kids and you will be out $200 - don't get it. It will be awsome for a few months, and we all loved it, but it will break, I promise. Before it broke fully, the device failed to charge. I think it was due to the charging contacts being located at the thinnest part of the remote and the kids dropping it - again I think this thing is way to fragile for families.

"I absolutely hate this remote."
on by DaisyJane1001Pros The only thing it has going for it is it looks good. That is it.
Cons NOT easy to use if one thing doesn't turn off or on. It is not user friendly.
Summary Bottom line they should stick to making keyboards and mice. If one item doesn't turn on you have get a computer programmer to figure out how to turn it on with this remote. Customer service at Logitech stinks! they wouldn't even speak to my husband when he called to let them know we NEVER got the replacement battery. They don't send tracking numbers even though they said they did. Finally they sent us a new battery. I wouldn't buy another one. I'm seriously considering not buying anything of theirs again on principal.
