"Great, if you don't really need it"
Pros: Easy to program, simple to read and decipher.
Cons: Battery life, regardless of usage, lasts about 7 days
Summary: Like most people (I suspect), I purchased remote to get rid of all the other ones I have laying about the house. In only about an hour I had my TV, receiver, amplifier, DVD, CD, etc. programmed and ready to go. Unfortunately, about 6 days later the backlit screen started to fade, and by the 7th day the remote was dead. I figured that I must have used it excessively in that first week, so thought nothing of it as I replaced the four AAA batteries.
Three months later I have come to realize that regardless of usage, the remote will drain the batteries in 7 days. The remote is always ready to go when the batteries are replaced; no codes or programming is ever lost, but in the short while I have owned this remote, I have paid more $$$ for batteries than I did for the actual product.
