"Great remote for the price"
Pros: Well laid out buttons. Functions well with preprogrammed codes.
Cons: No dedicated macro buttons, took hours to setup exactly as I wanted.
Summary: I too think having no dedicated macro buttons is a problem, but this thing is unbelievably customizable. One reviewer complained about not being able to change the order of commands. That may be somewhat true, but with some work you can overcome that. Every bit of text on the menus can be changed. Thus if you want to put, say tuner on the front page, you can just rename the VCR to TUNER, then have the remote learn all the commands for the tuner. You'll also have to rename all the commands under tuner, and it will take hours and some things will have you pulling your hair out, but after you've finished you've completely changed the menus to exactly how you want them. Macros are great too and you can make ANY button a macro and even have it act two different ways by putting a pause in the macro. Click the on button quickly for example to turn just the TV on. Hold the on button for one second, then have a macro that turns on all components, sets the TV and receiver to proper place (up to 190 commands!). Much better (and cheaper) than my Sony 3000 remote.
