Pros Great color LCD display. Nice looking. Backlit keys.
Cons VERY fragile - disassembles and falls apart even if it slips off the sofa onto a hardwood floor. No protective rubberized sleeve available. Difficult to program - not a Do-It-Yourself remote.
Summary This great looking, color LCD screen, backlit keyed remote is sleek and sexy (for a remote). However, I had to hire a professional to program it - nearly impossible to do yourself unless you are a professional.
The remote is EXTREMELY FRAGILE - drop it once, even from a chair or sofa, and it breaks. Replacement parts are difficult to find and there is no protective sleeve available.
Pros Nothing comes to mind.
Cons Incredibly fragille. Transient problems with some functions and occassionally locks up a/v receiver.
Summary Buddy TV works better (iPhone app). And it's free.
Pros It is not diffucult to program at all. It is just "different". The display capability is amazing, the Macros are extremely powerfull end quite easy to correct and modify. The processor is almost as powefull as the one in the iPad.
Cons The phisycal layout is not good. The buttons on the side of the displand and Skip, Stop, RW and FF are too small. Probably designed by a woman. The battery compartment cover is very ******.
Summary Consedering that its opened and closed much more often to access the USB. I broke mine. Asked URC service for a replacement , but did not get a reply yet. URC qhoul make a new stronger part and ship it free to everybody.Because URC condiders this a Professional Range range they supplu a lousy manual. Print or make available on PDF a detailed manual and there is no need for any "Professional idiot". I managed by myself but I spend 35 years programming all kinds of computers, but, agree I'm not the typical user.Where asterisks are displayed please read "fragile" That's what I wrote.
