"Better late than never"
Pros: Latest firmware finally right
Cons: Poor support
Summary: Looks like USR finally got it right. I purchased the router over a year ago and contantly had to reset it before it would accept wireless connections. USR swapped it out twice, but the problem continued. Just as I was ready to trash the whole setup, USR released firmware upgrade 1.67b44 (4/18/05). I was apprehensive as previous updates did not nothing. So far, this release has been pretty consistent. I have not had to reset the router and my notebook connects without a reset.
USR's support is clueless. They will deny that a problem exists and will only ship a new router when pressed. If you purchase a 8054, make sure you have the latest firmware or you will have major wireless connection problems.
