I am a home user with a 40 megabit-per-second DSL connection. My network maintains around a dozen concurrently connected devices (wireless printer, Apple Airport Express, several iOS devices, several Windows notebooks, a several Mac OS X clients and wired Verizon Network Extender). Prior to this I used a Netgear WNDR3700 which is a top-of-the-line router. Even so, with the Netgear I was experiencing sluggish connectivity when all of us were concurrently connected making Skype calls, watching streaming video content, and making phone calls. After reading a favorable review about the Amped Wireless R10000G with regards to how efficiently it handled concurrently connected devices, I bought one to give it a try. I am very pleased with the performance of this router. It delivers on the promise of improved connectivity for multiple users and the range is very good, too. My family no longer routinely complains about sluggish Internet performance.
