Summary: CNET is correct in that this router is slow in the default settings of WEP or WPA. But if you change the security setting to WPA2 the performance increases over 300% easily! Another setting you should select if you purchase this router is the 40hz mode under the 2.4 Ghz setting for even greater performance. When configured like this the Belkin destroys all other routers in speed and average throughput, including the D-Link (DIR 655), D-link (DGL 4500) and (Linksys WRT 600N).
