Belkin N150 Enhanced Wireless Router

Summary: Bought this on Black Friday. Very easy set up. Used it for my iphone. Have company coming for Christmas and wanted it so they could use their laptops. Worked great for a month. Now it keeps disconnecting. I used to be able to restart and all would be fine. Not anymore. So I called the 877 number for assistance. Still waiting for assistance as I couldn't understand a word they said. I asked for someone who spoke English, was put on hold for 10 minutes and the same girl came back to me. Her accent is too strong for me to understand. Again, more work farmed out overseas....you get what you pay for. I am forced to call back again and hope I can understand someone in order to get this working again.

Summary: Not sure why this router has received so many bad reviews here. I have no more than moderate computer knowledge and expertise, yet I was able to get up-and-running in 15-20 minutes. The "user manual" (really, just one sheet with a quick-start guide) was a little vague and sketchy, so I had to call my ISP for guidance during installation. But with that done, I encountered no problems. Speed is about what you'd expect from a router of this caliber - 54 mbps. I have a 2-story house, with the router downstairs. The signal is a bit flirty upstairs, but I can still use it okay. If you have more money to spend, there are certainly better routers out there. But for the cost, this one is okay.
