"Great product."
Pros: Works seamlessly with Airport Express
Cons: There are cheaper routers (but this is sooo reliable & easy to set up)
Summary: 802.11g router worked well out of the box. I purchased this as a 802.11g router that was reported to work with Airport Express (used to stream digital music through a stereo). Once the Buffalo router was set up on a PC, I plugged the Airport Express into the stereo, then into a wall socket & it worked perfectly (no further configuration was required).
Sophisticated configuration controls are available through the web-based menu (although not always intuitive). Quick set up using standard settings is easy. Good security with WEP, WPA, and MAC address settings. WDS is available, so it's possible to use a Buffalo range extender (or conceivably other manufacturer's products) to increase coverage within a plaster/lathe house (I have coverage from basement to 2nd floor using a router + range extender). Again, the Buffalo range extender (WLA2-54G) worked perfectly out of the box: just plug it in to any available wall socket. I'm very pleased with the Buffalo products. No (zero, nada) connection failures in 5 months of use.
Haven't had to use support, so can't comment on that aspect of things.
