"First Router For Networking Newbie"
Pros: Features, Fast Speeds, AOSS
Cons: Setup, User documentation, AOSS did not work until I downloaded the latest drivers and Client Manager Software.
Summary: I am relatively new to Wi-Fi networking and this is my first router. CNET really is not kidding about the poor quality of the setup instructions and the user documentation. If you are a newbie and want to learn a lot about networking in a hurry, go ahead and buy this router and prepare to learn on the fly! I love the speed, security, and advanced features. No dropped connections and despite CNET's speed tests, it's fast enough to suit my pruposes. My only complaint is that with AOSS enabled, it does not allow for manual MAC address filtering. You have to turn off AOSS and go completely manual to use the MAC table.Updated
After almost 1 year of use my rating goes up to a 9.5! (The 0.5 off was for the lack of good setup documentation.) No dropped connections and no complaints. This router is as solid as a tank. Buy this one istead of a Lynksys or Netgear.
